Become a Darby's Dance Partner!

Our Darby's Dance Partners (aka Volunteers), are a vital part of our Darby's Dancers program here at HKSD.

Many colleges require volunteer hours of community work and this is a great way for young people to obtain these hours. Our volunteers and students form close relationships. There is no limit to the bonds they form. It requires a commitment on the part of the Partner to be present each week with their dancer and at any dance opportunities that may present themselves.

 A Darby's Dance Partner assists their dancer in many ways including:

• Sharing their love of dance with another dancer
• Provide one-on-one support to their dancer
• Help their dancer learn, grow and thrive
• Be their dancer's arms and feet if needed
• Model dance steps and help their dancer gain independence in mastering the steps and movements
