Calendar for Our Dance Studio in Huntsville, AL
Since 2003, Heidi Knight School of Dance has been teaching children the art of dance. Thanks to our experienced team, we are able to host classes tailored to each possible age group — from children of two years old to the oldest teenagers.
We update this page regularly to inform parents and children about the upcoming events at our dance school. Below you can also find more information about the holidays during which HKSD is closed.

STUDIO CALENDAR 2026-2027
Classes begin on Monday, August 31, 2026.
- September 7: Labor Day (HKSD CLOSED)
- September 15: Twirl Supply Fee Due
- Oct 5-9: Fall Break (HKSD CLOSED)
- Oct 26-30: Crazy Costume Week
- Nov 9-13: Studio C & D Show Offs
- November 15: Showcase Costume Fees Auto-Drafted
- Nov 16-20: Studio A & B Show Offs
- November 23-27: Thanksgiving Break (HKSD CLOSED)
- Dec 21-Jan 1: Winter Break (HKSD CLOSED)
- Feb 15: Showcase Fees Auto-Drafted
- March 15-19: Spring Break (HKSD CLOSED)
- April 5-10: Showcase Photos taken at HKSD
- June 4: Last day of classes
- June 9-12: Showcase 2027!
These are the only holidays HKSD observes. In the event of severe weather, it may be necessary to cancel classes. We will generally follow Madison County Schools when deciding whether to close for severe weather, and will notify parents through text/email. Any class missed due to inclement weather may be made up; However, there is not an option to make up classes missed due to scheduled holidays when HKSD is closed.
