For two decades, Heidi Knight School of Dance has been providing students with superior dance classes that include ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop and so much more. No matter what age, we can help your child to have a fun and enriching experience.
Here at HKSD, we believe in helping a child grow in so many ways. It's about so much more than dance.
If you are interested in enrolling your Preschool through 12th grade child in dance classes, please read the important policy information below.
Policies
- ONLINE PORTAL: Each account will have an online portal to process payments, view and register for classes and special events, refer to previous emails and announcements, etc. It is the account holder’s responsibility to keep all information on your account (contact info, payment info, etc.) up to date. A link to this portal is provided on the HKSD website.
- COMMUNICATION: HKSD sends information primarily through email, and occasional text message reminders. Please make sure your email address is current in your client portal to receive updates, newsletters, payment reminders, payment receipts, etc. Please opt in to receive text reminders.
- PAYMENTS: All account holders are required to keep a valid debit or credit card on file. All payments (tuition, Showcase-related fees) will be auto-drafted on the due date. Payment methods include Visa, Mastercard and Discover, or cash before the auto-draft date. All payments received are applied to outstanding charges in the order in which they were billed.
- TUITION: Tuition is based on the entire season of dance. Our season runs August 28, 2023 through June 8, 2024. Tuition is not based on the number of classes in a month or on attendance. There is NO refund for missed classes. Family tuition discounts apply only to siblings under the same account.
- TUITION PAYMENT OPTIONS: You may pay the entire season in full (email our office if you’d like to choose this option) OR divide it up into 10 equal installments. The first non-refundable installment (applied to June 2024) will be charged on August 1st. The remaining installments will be charged to the primary card on file on the 1st of each month, September 2023 – May 2024. Families who enroll after August 1st will be charged the registration fee and one installment (June 2024). Families who enroll after classes begin will be charged the registration fee and two installments (registration month and June 2024). These fees are non-refundable.
- PAYMENT RECEIPT: You will not receive a billing statement or invoice prior to any charges, however, you will receive a receipt of payment (or card decline) each month after the auto-draft.
- LATE FEES: If your card on file is declined, an alternate payment must be made. A $15 Late Fee will be charged for tuition payments not made in full by the 5th of the month. This includes declined charges for any reason. Accounts with unresolved late payments may be subject to dismissal from HKSD. Accounts must be paid in full to participate in the Showcase.
- WITHDRAWAL FROM CLASSES: If for any reason it becomes necessary to withdraw a child from a class, HKSD must be notified through email (office@heidiknightdance.com) before the first day of your child’s last month. For example: If a drop email is received on September 1st, October will be the student’s last month. September and October tuition will be due. If a drop email is not received, the account holder will continue to be billed the regular tuition amount and will be responsible for payment. Non-attendance is not considered withdrawal from class. HKSD will always send a confirmation email when we receive drop notices. If you don’t receive confirmation please check with our office. HKSD does not require a contract. If an account is closed there are no refunds.
- VISITORS: In order to make class time more productive for everyone, we do not allow visitors in any of our classes. The only exceptions to this rule are special visitor days for parents.
